Wind energy applications demand gear drives that convert slow blade rotation into generator speed without giving up service life or efficiency. Northwest Power Products supports wind energy producers and OEM wind turbine builders with planetary, helical, bevel, parallel-shaft, three-stage gear drives, single-stage planetary drives, and integrated gear or direct-drive systems. The brand mix runs across SEW-Eurodrive, Sumitomo, Nord, Falk, and others depending on the turbine class and the operator’s existing fleet.

For utility-scale operators we coordinate service and replacement on planetary first-stage gearboxes, work from OEM service specs or cross-references when the original line has aged out, and supply pitch and yaw drive gearing across the major brands. For OEM builders we run application engineering on the full configuration set, hold parts and assemblies for repeat builds, and quote with realistic lead times so the integration schedule is not held up by a long-lead drive component.
