Automotive manufacturing plants run on tight schedules where minutes of downtime translate directly into missed builds. The gearboxes that drive assembly conveyors, pressing and stamping equipment, robotic arms, engine and transmission assembly stations, and plant-wide material handling are not optional — when one fails, the line stops. Northwest Power Products supports automotive plants and Tier-1 suppliers across the Pacific Northwest with gearbox selection, application engineering, replacement, and repair.

We focus on three things automotive operations need: fast emergency response for production-down events, deep cross-brand knowledge for the mixed fleets that accumulate over decades of plant expansions, and planned-shutdown coordination for the windows where preventive maintenance can be staged. Common units across the major brands ship same-day or next-day from Tacoma stock; planned-maintenance kits are staged ahead of the window. For robotics and indexing applications, we work with compact servo-grade reducers and cross to current equivalents when older units age out.
